Notice on Coronavirus (Covid-19)

Last ratified: 19 Mar 2022

Greetings from U of N / YWAM Battambang, Cambodia,

As the leadership of the YWAM Campus here in Battambang we wanted to take some time to communicate about the current concerns regarding the COVID-19 that is impacting our world daily. As a leadership we have been closely monitoring this situation from the beginning and as things have been escalating over the last week, we are making corresponding precautionary measures.

As YWAM in Battambang we are committed to:

  • Taking the precautionary measures to keep all our facilities clean and safe for all teams, visitors, participants, and campus residents
  • Following the guidelines and recommendations of the World Health Organisation (WHO) and the Government of Cambodia.
  • Timely and relevant communication with all our teams, visitors, participants, and campus residents about important changes and updates related to COVID-19.

We have also intentionally put together a COVID-19 Response Team that includes a number of medical professionals in order to help our Campus to be as prepared as possible. This team has currently set up protocols for making sure: we have a very high level of hygiene, processes for dealing with anyone with symptoms, as well as preparations to respond to future developments. As a Campus, we have also taken precautions to make sure we have our basic necessities and finances available to make sure we can take care of our staff and students.

We will be consistently re-evaluating the situation, but want to make sure all of the families, parents, loved ones, supporters, churches and pastors of all of our staff and students know that we are doing our very best to walk in wisdom during this current situation. We also want to invite all of you to join us in prayer to see the end of this virus worldwide.

If you have any questions please feel free to email us at info@uofnbattambang.com.

Sincerely,
Garth Gustafson and Chea Samphas
on behalf of the YWAM Battambang Leadership
