About Us

Vision

One Nation Generation

We believe the nation of Cambodia can be transformed in this generation.

Other nations have risen from dark chapters in their history. Cambodia is no different.
We see change happening in classrooms, communities, and in the lives of young people across this nation.

We are part of a generation that carries the responsibility of shaping what comes next.

From Killing Fields to Living Fields, we are building the future together.

Mission

“Equip and empower people to bring transformation to communities in Cambodia, Southeast Asia, and beyond.”

We exist to train people by equipping and empowering them to impact communities locally and beyond Cambodia. We serve as a resource hub, providing the training, relationships, and practical support needed to turn vision into action.

Our Culture & Values

These are the values that make us who we are:

1) Listen and Obey
We are committed to living with integrity and acting on what we believe is right, even when it is
difficult.

2) One Family Together
We prioritize doing life together as an international community while honoring Khmer culture. This
means working together, eating together, supporting one another, and having shared ownership
across the mission.

3) Honor and Care for Staff
We want our team to thrive. Not just through hard work, but also through rest, joy, and healthy
community life. We value people based on who they are, not just what they can do.

4) Raise Up and Send Out Cambodians
Cambodia is not only a receiving nation. It is time for Cambodian leaders to stand up, be equipped,
and be sent to serve both within Cambodia and beyond.

5) A Regional Resource Hub
We exist to bless Southeast Asia by equipping and sending. The key is to continue to pioneer new initiatives in Battambang and throughout the region.

Our History

Cambodia endured one of the darkest chapters of the 20th century. Between 1975 and 1979, nearly two million lives were lost. In the years that followed, families were displaced and thousands fled to refugee camps along the Thai border, carrying little more than what they could hold.

When Cambodia opened back up in 1991, some of the first teams came and asked the government:

Where is the hardest place where we can help?

In those camps and difficult places, young people from around the world came to serve. They taught, cared for the sick, built, and stood alongside a nation searching for stability.

That chapter shaped more than history. It shaped who we are today.

That heart is still in us today. To go where it’s hard & serve where help is needed most.

Battambang Planted

In 2006 a team of five people came to Battambang and planted University of the Nations here.

We started small with cleaning a hospital and starting a youth development center to teach English. Later DTS and other ministries started.

We have now grown into one of the largest YWAM campus’ in the world, with over 100 staff from many nations who eat lunch together, share purpose and life across cultures. There’s more training opportunities, more ministries, more impact and we serve not only Cambodia but we also serve as a resource hub to surrounding Nations.

Looking Ahead

Cambodia is young. The generation that will shape this nation is already here, in schools, in communities, in training programs like ours.

We’ve been at this since 2006. Long enough to know that lasting change has to be owned by Cambodians. That’s what we’re building toward: a movement led by the people we came to serve.

There’s still a lot of work to do. If you want to be part of it, we’d love to hear from you.
